The second media meeting of the 41st Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) held in Mellat Cineplex in Tehran on Feb.1, 2023, attended by “Number 10” film crew.
In response to the reasons for choosing the leading actor Hamid Zargarnejad, the film director said,” Iranian cinema and the young generation need a hero.” In my previous work and this work, I tried to move towards a hero-oriented film.
The story was based on the documentation that deals with the best contemporary heroes,” he added. Commenting on the earthquake in the city of Khoy, West Azerbaijan Province, Northwestern Iran, Zargrenjad expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
“I produced a social-genre film that I had started researching since 2018. The hero’s life is based on a large number of memories, and the escape he made is the only successful escape during a ten-year period of captivity”, he reiterated.
At the end, Zargrenjad said that all Iranian heroes deserve to be able to make a movie about. I am interested in making films about other historical heroes.
The FIFF is a major film event, which is organized every year to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. Presided by Mojtaba Amini, the 41st Fajr International Film Festival will be held from February 1-11, 2023, in Tehran.
