Mojtaba Amini, the director of the 42nd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) says the new generation of filmmakers are able to guarantee Iran’s future cinema.
What is of paramount importance in the prestigious event is the emergence of a new generation, said Amini in his message on the occasion of the 42nd edition of the Festival.
The new generation is expected to prove their abilities in the ten-day event, he underscored.
They will have a say in the interactions between Iranian and foreign cinema industries in the coming years, he said.
The Festival is considered a blessed heritage coinciding with celebrations of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he pointed out.
On the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution which reminds Iranians of the epics and triumphs, watching the cinematic works about the Sacred Defense has given the festival a double spirit, Amini underlined.
The cultural policies of the incumbent government, based on justice and paying homage to the family of Iranian cinema, have been clearly manifested in the event, he stated.
The entries have focused on hope refraining from depicting distorted images, he further noted.
The international section of the event complements the event’s atmosphere, he said.
We commemorate the memory of the martyrs of Gaza, Iranians martyred in the recent terrorist attacks in Kerman, and the heroic Palestinians, he said.
The FIFF is a major film event, which is organized every year to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
Presided by Mojtaba Amini, the 42st Fajr International Film Festival will be held from February 1-11, 2024, in Tehran.
