Morning Of Execution, A Film With Magical Music

The media meeting of “Morning of Execution” was held following the film screening on the third day of 42nd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF).According to the news department of the 42nd FIFF, Afkhami (Writer and Director), Ali Shirmohammadi (Producer), Hasanali Asadi (Director of Cinematography), Reza Soorani (Editor), Mohsen Darsanj (Make-up Artist), Amirhossein Golmohammadi (Sound Designer), and Arastoo Khoshrazm, Mehrdad Niknam, Masoud Sharif, and Mohsen Avari, the cast of the film were present at the press conference. At the beginning of the meeting, the director of the film, Behrouz Afkhami, elaborated on why he chose this form of narration and said: We chose a documentary-style narration; Because it was suitable for this story and movie. He added: this film has documentary elements, such as narration, however there are also quotes in the film expressed by Tayyeb Hajrezaei himself that have been included in the prison sequences. About the music of his film, Afkhami said “Its music is mysterious, metaphysical, and imaginative.” In response to the question whether he will go for adaptation again or not, Afkhami said: I have used adaptation in most of my works, but this script is not considered an adaptation, it’s written based on the reports of the newspaper Keyhan and Etelaat. Elsewhere in the presser, Shirmohammadi, the producer said he has already experienced working with Afkhami. He added that he leaves it to the audience to decide about how successful he has been in this direction. One of the actors of “Morning of Execution” Khoshrazm, talked about his experience after working with the crew of the movie. He referred to his role in the movie as his first serious performance in Cinema after 20 years of acting. Further, the make-up artist Mohsen Darsanj expressed his opinion about cooperating with the cast and the crew, saying that it was an honor for him. In the following, Mehrdad Niknam, the actor, thanked the director and producer of the movie for trusting him to be in the project. “I hope they harvest the fruit of their trust.”Hasanali Asadi, the cinematographer expressed his viewpoint too saying that nothing is flawless and we do not say that our work is perfect.
