In a meeting with directors of Malaysia International Film Festival, Director of Cinema Organization of Iran, Mohammad Khazaei expressed the need for expansion of cinematic cooperation.
The meeting was held on the side of the 41st Fajr International Film Festival currently underway in Tehran.
Khazaei also called for holding film weeks and co- production projects between Iran and Malaysia.
Commenting on Malaysia Film Festival, Khazaei said this event is considered as one of the most authentic cinematic event in south east of Asia.
He added that the Iranian Cinema Organization plans to help in organizing the Malaysia Film Festival and they will also have an effective presence in the Fajr Film Festival.
The FIFF is a major film event, which is organized every year to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
Presided by Mojtaba Amini, the 41st Fajr International Film Festival will be held from February 1-11, 2023, in Tehran.
