FIAPF Welcomes FIFF as New Accredited Competitive Festival

FIAPF has welcomed the Fajr International Film Festival as a new FIAPF-accredited competitive non-specialised festival.

In a Tweet on Saturday, the International Federation of Film Producers Associations announced its decision to unanimously approve the accreditation of the Fajr International Film Festival as a Competitive Non-Specialized Film Festival from their 2021 edition.

During the first days of FIFF, the 36 national film producers’ organizations from 29 countries across the world gathered within the International Federation of Film Producers Associations to unanimously approve the accreditation of Fajr.

The Fajr International Film Festival and Film Market are the highlights of the Iranian film calendar each year, with an epic number of events, screenings, programs and meetings crammed into the capital Tehran over the course of nine days.

The 2021 FIFF is underway in the Iranian capital until June 2. This year’s event is presided over by Iranian film director and screenwriter Mohammad Mehdi Asgarpour.
