The media meeting of “Captain” held in Mellat Cineplex in Tehran on Feb.7, 2023, attended by the film’s crew.
Speaking in the press conference, the director of the film, Mohammad Hamzeei stated,” I would like to work on different genres. I tried to think of stories that portrays social circumstances, so I started collaborating with Farabi Cinema Foundation and decided to work on this issue.”
Hamzeei went on to explain about the child actors of the film, adding that we assign Amir Hossein Bayat to play the main role.
Commenting on his role the main child actor of the film said,” I played the role of Isa in the film “Captain” and I had difficulties to deal with it.”
“My aunt died of cancer and this motivated me to feel the character of Isa. I was very stressed in the beginning, but gradually it got better,” Bayat added.
The synopsis of the film reads,” Children in a hospital decide to play football before their friend’s surgery. Isa wants to play this game with his friends away from the eyes of doctors and hospital officials, but everything changes when a new child arrives.”
