The secretary of the 42nd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) Mojtaba Amini announced the names of the juries for both national and international sections on Thursday (February 8, 2024).
Amini said the juries carry out difficult tasks, hoping that the awards would be presented to those who deserve them.
The FIFF secretary introduced the names of the juries of the International Section as Wu Lang (China), Andrea Morghen (Italy), Jose Maria Mara (Spain), Sergey Dvortsvoy (Russia), and Karen Avetisyan (Armenia).
Mr. Amini also announced the team of the juries for Eastern Vista, who include Ahmad Ahmad Mojtaba Zamal (Bangladesh), Reyis Celik (Turkey), Aziz Zhambakiev (Kazakhstan), Salma Massri (Syria), and Katsumi Yanagijima (Japan).
Further, he referred to the names of the inter-faith section’s juries as ALI Hannan (Iraq), Abdulsattar Yarar (Turkey), Shadi Zeidan (Lebanon), and Walid Ahmad Darwish (Syria).
The juries of the national section include Mohammad Hossein Latifi, Pouran Derakhshandeh, Abdolhamid Qadirian, Shahab Esfandiari, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, and Bahram Azimi.
In a related development, the head of the FIFF public relations office Massoud Najafi said that the nominees are to be introduced on February 10.
